Our company is dedicated to making children safer and more confident around water using the ISR technique of aquatic survival skills.

Goals and Objectives:

I swim Austin’s goal is to raise awareness and help reduce the number of drownings and aquatic near death incidents in Austin. Its business Philosophy is: Safety first!

How you can help us:

TODAY, 11 young children will drown in the United States. The same thing happened yesterday, but doesn’t have to happen tomorrow!
We need your help in educating others about I Swim Austin’s goal as well as that of ISR worldwide. You can potentially save a child’s life by simply passing on the word....

Please let your friends, relatives, even parents you just met... know about ISR and what it can do to prevent childhood drowning.

Together we can make a difference!

THANK YOU!

Erika Pellegrino
Certified ISR Instructor & Owner of I Swim Austin

Mission statement
About the instructor
Erika Pellegrino is a full of energy 36 year old that is happily married and a mother of two lovely children. Chiara, her 6 year old daughter is like fish in the water and Vitali, her 5 year old son.

Erika was born in Morelia, MEX to a German mother and Mexican father and was raised in
both countries. She lived and finished her high school in Germany prior to coming to the US to study her Bachelor of Science at UT Austin. Her international exposure and marriage to a French-Italian, greatly contribute to her knowledge in five languages, including: English, Spanish, German, French and conversational Italian.

After successfully working for about 10 years in the Technology Industry, including Apple and DELL, where she was a Manager in charge of the Reseller Channels for Latin America and the Caribbean, she came across ISR thru a Youtube video that was sent to her.

Determined and excited to have her newborn daughter learn these techniques, she was shocked to see there was no one offering these classes in Austin. It was not long before she decided to do a dramatic career change early 2008, to help other mothers just as concerned about their child's safety. Especially in a city that boasts so many lakes and where swimming pools, hot tubs and ponds are quite common and could pose a great danger for the unsuspecting parent and the unskilled child.

Her passion and confidence in the ISR program grew only stronger as she learned more
about the company's solid foundation on research and different sciences, the thorough
requirements and process to join the team but , above all, for its main goal: "Not one more
drowns"

Erika became an ISR certified instructor in 2008, with precisely that goal in mind.

The process may have been long but certainly worthwhile and included witnessing
countless ISR lessons at her peer's pool for several months, research, studies and testing in
Behavioral Sciences, Children Psychology and Anatomy plus related Medical
terminology/symptom recognition. It concluded with six weeks of intense One on-One
training and in water practice with a Master Instructor and students of various ages. In
addition to being certified to teach ISR lessons, Erika and her husband also got certified in
First Aid - Adult/Infant CPR and encourage everyone to do so as well.

She is excited to get to know you and work with your little ones to make them safer as she
truly believes in the motto:
"The Sooner. The Safer"
